It's the week of the Thanksgiving here, with lots going on and day-to-day activities feeling a bit different.
...different enough that I made it to Wednesday morning, right now, before I realized that I didn't get yesterday's email sent on the normal every-Tuesday schedule! 😬 I have no really good excuse, just a bunch of little ones that all add up.
Incidentally, I hadn't planned to say too much this week anyway precisely because of the holiday and the practical reality that everyone (including me, apparently) is likely busy doing other things. As I said last year around this time, while I like to geek out over digital organization, other things are more important--family, relationships, and intentionally stepping back enough to appreciate those things.
I did get to work with my mom on the notes migration project this past week, and we did a short trial run of creating a couple of entries in Obsidian instead of Word. We got to explore the basics of linking notes together and talked through how she might use a much "flatter" organization hierarchy than she's used to. We still have plenty to do, but it was a great start.
For now, go spend time with whoever you have in your life: family, friends, acquaintances, pets, anyone that makes both your lives mutually better by being close. I'll do the same. Don't worry about organizing your digital stuff. (Just...try not to overdo it on new photos, okay?) 😛
That's all for now. Happy Thanksgiving, and happy data-taming!
